Ego satisfaction

To satisfy my EGO...

I learnt programming in an era when a small program (less than 5 lines) was able to produce outputs like these...

Programming in those days was fun and was done in three simple steps...

Type the program
Run the program
See the output

But, now a days, programming is about...

Search for the program
Download the program
Try to run the program
Install software-A... to make that program run
Change the Environment variables to run that program
Install software-B... to make that program run
Run the program
Bang your head why you have followed all the above steps to calculate c = a + b ... especially when u have a calculator

By the time a person is done with banging his/her head, he/she will forget to look into the program, what is present in the source and what is the output.

I saw a video in youtube, in which a person says.....

Our educational system turns our children into robots that meet the corporate requirements.
Education is killing their creativity.

What I have noticed (based on the limited contacts I have) is.....

IT Jobs are one of the most common reasons why adults hatemonday mornings.
Adults are not 100% interested in their jobs.
Games are one of the early reasons why kids develop interest in computers.
They dream that - by learning programming, one day... they may become game programmers
(Or ethical hackers or network security specialists or Creators of another Operating system)
But our education teaches the teenagers how to do a job, which is not loved - even by the adults.
"I hate programming" kind of opinion is rapidly spreading among the current generations of students.

It gives me immense ego-satisfaction

if I make those "programming haters"
to change their mind and turn into "programming lovers"

.

And... to satisfy my ego

is one of the main reasons to create this blog.
